Whether it’s a stranger or a member of their own family, the default response for too many young males today has become anger, aggression—and far too often, a deadly weapon. This didn’t happen overnight.
Decades of environmental trauma, normalized dysfunction, and the absence of consistent, principled guidance have filled the space where truth, healing, and leadership should have existed. For young males—especially those under the age of 26—the results are devastating and predictable.
They are being shaped by: Constant Violence, Illiteracy, Non – Active or Absent Fathers, Low Self-Esteem, Social media lies sold as success, music and culture that glorify destruction over discipline. They are chasing clout. They are chasing fast money. But they are rarely shown how to chase purpose. And when life goes wrong—as it inevitably does—there is no internal framework for restraint, accountability, or redemption.
Let’s be clear: “I’m sorry” does not reverse death. Apologies don’t undo funerals. Regret doesn’t rebuild families. Prevention requires formation. That is why Team BMW exists.
We confront the root causes—before the courtroom, before the graveyard, before another young life becomes a statistic. Our work is grounded in research, primary data, and a simple truth: young males don’t need more punishment—they need a Rite of Passage, purpose, and people who refuse to give up on them.

National Opportunity League
National Opportunity League (NOL), through the sport of Opportunity, has one mission: End Generations of Hopelessness by teaching the Value of Life and focusing on the development of Foundational Skills, Champion Mindsets, and Economic Geniuses. Many of America’s young Black males have been systematically oppressed, abandoned by fathers, robbed of authentic leadership, and left behind to die physically or struggle mentally.
Becoming The Best Dad: A Father's Guide
Becoming The Best Dad is a company that transforms fathers into 5-star dads. Our business model includes a proprietary father’s guide, child support payment initiative, communication icebreakers, and daily access to a social network of purpose-driven fathers across America.
A Human Empowerment Commissioner, Human Empowerment Head Coaches, Human Empowerment Assistant Coaches, and Human Empowerment Special Team Coaches lead the network. Our signature pathways are 30-Day Jump Start, The Missing Link, and Child Support Reduction Center.
SOLID FOUNDATION CERTIFICATION
The Solid Foundation Certification is a rare, groundbreaking initiative designed to reshape the mindset and self-development of Black males ages 12-26. This proprietary solution addresses critical areas such as self-efficacy, the value of life, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, conflict resolution, civic engagement, environmental trauma extraction, merchandising, and the consequences of life choices.
The urgency of this initiative is undeniable. By age 18, 30% of Black males have been arrested—a number that jumps to 49% by age 23, significantly surpassing their white counterparts. The devastating loss of young Black lives to violence further underscores the need for immediate action.

For the past 20 years, Dr. Bruce C. Carter has been on the front lines fighting for the future of our youth and the fundamental value of every human life. As the founder of Team Black Males Winning, his mission is clear and unwavering: to level the playing field for young Black males, reduce crime, and help restore the strength of families across America.
A recipient of the prestigious Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for positively impacting over 500,000 youth, Bruce remains humbly committed to the work ahead. He often says, “Even with all that’s been done, it’s still not enough.”
He leads with conviction, compassion, and purpose—relentlessly advocating for real opportunities, lasting change, and a future where every young Black male has a chance to win.
